David Migden was raised in Little Rock Arkansas before moving to the UK as a teenager. While performing around London and across Europe, David teamed up with the ‘The Dirty Words’ forming the band to release ‘Second Hand Tattoo’ which was met with a great response from critics and fans alike.

Their 2014 album ‘Animal & Man’ was highlighted as the moment they reached the sound they have always wanted and saw the band name change to ‘The Twisted Roots’ to fit the genre-busting crossover of rock, blues and twisted American roots. As they continue to tour, the band have gained a reputation for putting on fantastic live shows, with the seasoned band members having played with many other internationally renowned artists including Robert Plant, James Brown, Corinne Bailey Rae, Matt Berry, Hamish Stuart (Average White Band), and Andy Newmark (Sly & the Family Stone, Roxy Music, John Lennon, Bowie).

The band’s reputation has continued to grow with radio play around the globe, winning the prestigious New Brunswick ‘Battle of the Blues’, appearing at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Canada, as well as receiving a nomination for the British Blues Awards for best singer and best original song ‘Shel’. Now with a set list full of dirty riffs, thick bass lines and thumping blues drums, all held together by David’s poignant and humorous (in all the right ways) lyrics, this unique set is a must see.
